The award-winning company operates a state-of-the-art bespoke fleet of tractor units and trailers, ensuring that even the most demanding jobs can be completed promptly, professionally and safely.

Mar-Train Heavy Haulage Ltd. has long been a highly-respected as one of the main Heavy Haulage Transport service throughout Ireland. With more recently, its glowing reputation is also spreading through the UK and mainland Europe.

The company was established over three decades ago to provide an island-wide plant haulage service. But, since 1993, Mar-Train has expanded rapidly to meet the requirements of a niche in the market, specialising in the haulage of heavy and/or abnormal loads (including wind farms). This expansion has seen the company fleet grow dramatically to 23 tractor units and over 70 trailers. With such development we have become the first Heavy Haulage company in Northern Ireland to invest in modular euqipment. Such capital investment has enabled us to be at the forefront of wind farm transportation.

Over the years, Mar-Train has been active on many prestigious projects in Ireland, the UK and throughout Europe. These include the excavation of the Dublin Port Tunnel, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link under the Thames and the aforementioned wind farm projects in Ireland and the UK.
